Román Cabán Nicolet Service Above Self recipient.
Román Cabán is a junior at Nicolet High School, who demonstrates a commitment to the community through service and volunteerism, impeccable character, and high academic potential and performance. He is a positive and caring leader whether in the classroom, as part of a club, on a team, or as part of both Nicolet and the greater community. Román serves as a peer tutor and is an active member of our track and cross country teams, HOSA/Red Cross Club, Environmental Club and our Ski and Snowboard Club. His work ethic, inquiry for more, and kind nature are aspects that lift students to achieve more and simply to be better just by being around him. Román was nominated for Student of the Month for Math, due to his leadership within our classroom walls and the way he naturally pushes those around him to seek more for themselves. He is excited to learn and is always willing to share what he knows to help others. Román is described by his teachers as absolutely fantastic, kind, thoughtful, uplifting and so very deserving of the Service Above Self Award.
